Welcome to prayformycity.org! Pray for my city will be launching on May 2, 2024! The story of this movement began 9 years ago for us as a couple. Now, on the National Day of Prayer in 2024, we are following the Lord by asking for others to join us on this journey. Click below, on “About Us” to find out more about prayformycity.org. A Call to Daily Prayer
We are asking folks all across the United States, and the world, to join us in prayer for the USA. Anyone can become a prayer team member by signing up for free on our “Join the Movement” page. Members will receive regular email updates and invitations to enjoy exclusive content from Pray For My City (PFMC). Partners are people who live in the 1,200 largest cities, want to commit to 15 minutes each day of prayer as part of a 24-hour prayer team in their city, and desire to support the PFMC movement. Partners will have acces to exclusive content and discounted merchandise from PFMC. As a result of this movement, we are believing God to build churches that are houses of prayer committed to loving and serving their city.
The Goal
We are committed to working for and praying for the good of our city. Our goal is to see our cities transformed through praying faithfully, serving others diligently , and loving people wholly. Transformation is the goal!
The Plan
We are assembling prayer teams in each of the 1,200 largest cities in the United States of America. The teams consist of prayer team partners who dedicate themselves to 15 minutes of daily prayer for their city. Each prayer team consists of a coordinator and four partners. The partners each pray fifteen minutes per day. Prayer team coordinators lead one hour of prayer for their city each day with the four prayer team partners. Each city will have twenty-four prayer teams covering each hour of each day. This will form a strategic group of 144,000 partners dedicated to daily prayer in the 1,200 largest cities in the USA. This is an unprecedented movement that will see each city covered in 168 hours of strategic, coordinated prayer each week.
